Brief Experences

1948:came into the world.
1975: graduated from Nanking University and started his research in atmospheric science at Institute of Atmospheric Physics(IAP),Chinese Academy of Sciences.
1999-: professor and assistant superintendent.
2002-:National assistant director of consultation and evaluation committee for weather modification.

Research interests

Cloud and precipitation physics, which includes cloud dynamics, cloud microphysics, nowcasting of disaster weather and the numerical simulation.
Weather modification, it includes theory and technique of hail suppression and artificial precipitation mechanism

Ongoing Projects

Study on interaction between dynamics and microphysics in mesoscale convective cloud system.

Evaluating of cloud water resource and artificial precipitation enhancement potential for the stratiform cloud system.
