三、Research Interes
Yan Zhongwei have been in the field of climate change
research since my PhD career in 1986. My studies cover
a wide range of subjects, from daily variability to
decadal and longer-term climate variations, from homogenization
of weather observations to reconstruction of historical
climate, from land-surface process modeling to non-linear
dynamics prediction, from monsoons to NAO and ENSO.
My current projects are focused on climate extremes
(unusual weather conditions) and changes under global
warming.

process in N China during recent decades
CMA-NMC project (2007-2009): Risk analysis of rainstorm/flood
at reservoir-basin-scale based on TIGGE data, regional
coupled model and empirical downscaling
